No March Meeting

Just a reminder to everyone that we are not meeting in March (in observance of Lenten activities), but will be finishing up the second half of the "Question of God" movie at our April 1st meeting (no fooling!).

Also, we need to develop our curriculum for the upcoming months. Please take the time to help by commenting to this post (click the small "comments" text immediately below this post) with your thoughts on books, topics, etc. that you think might make good material.

One of the books I received for Christmas was by Carl Sagan, a collection of his posthumously-published Gifford Lectures edited by Ann Druyan, "The Varieties of Scientific Experience: A Personal View of the Search for God."

The book receives generally excellent reader ratings on Amazon, where it costs $18.45:

I'd be happy to have Mark, Warren, or anyone else have a look through the book.

Thanks for the suggestion, Carolyn. Actually, Warren and I met this past Saturday to "map out" a curriculum for the remainder of the year. We've decided to go ahead and choose probably two topics, each will have an associated book which will be read over two months plus an "alternative" session as has been the custom. Look for a more complete blog post in the coming week or so.
